“This shop is the only place I would consider taking my two Honda vehicles, both 9+ years old. Jose is honest, fast and very reasonablely priced. He has always treated me fairly in the 15 years I have been taking my cars there.”

“I can't say enough good things about Jose. Been using him for more than 12 years ('96 GTI, '74 TR6, '04 A6, '11 Mini). Very honest, fair prices, quick service. Some of the things he repaired others failed to do, and with the old beat-up Golf we were always able to figure out what's reasonable to repair to keep the cost in check.”

“The onwer Jose is a nice and honest guy, and has been in business over 40 years. I brought my car over to them many times, and also referred friends to them with happy results. They do everything from mounting new tires to replacing timing belt and other difficult jobs. Their rate is generally lower than dealers, but still delivering good services.”

My husband and I have gone several times too and it's always a great overall experience. I only wish he were open on weekends, but when you get enough business due to your reputation, you can afford to take the weekend off!”

“I have lived and worked in Watertown for 20 years. During that time I've used maybe four different shops in town for car repairs and tires. I'm done looking around. This is the only local shop for me. Twice I have come in needing new brakes, struts and strut mounts ('97 Subaru, '00 Honda Accord.) Both times Jose has done the work for far less that that the dealership or competing shop (maybe 1/2). He has never tried to sell me on additional work - like everyone else does.

He and his staff are extremely knowledgable about the cars they work on and have never put me through the pain of fixing a few things till they figured it out - that has also happed to me elsewhere.

They have always come in close to the estimate and they seem to be looking for ways to save you money.....like suggesting I do the brakes at the same time I did the struts, so I only paid the labor for disassembly and assembly ONCE. What other shop would do that ? Most others would charge book rate for the brakes + book rate for the struts. That's not how Jose works.

“I am very surprised by the prior review, Jose is the best in Watertown. I have been taking my car to him regularly for +/- 5 years and he ALWAYS treats me fairly and sticks pretty close to his estimates of time and cost. He is extremely honest in my experience. One time he couldn't find the problem and didn't even charge me for his time, even though he spent an hour on the car! A refreshing change from most mechanics.”
